-it seems too, that our neighborhood group has been a little more urgent in their feeding habits, over the past week or two.

I've been seeing bunches in some of our neighbors yards also!! They sit in the trees, scream, eat all my bird seed, scream, eat some corn, scream, grab a peanut.... lol.... :D :D I love them though!! They are such a beautiful bird!! I hadn't had many this summer, so I'm definately enjoying having them!! :)

-you may have heard of the 1970's song,- "Knock Three Times"! When I have finished re-filling the nut feeder early in the morning, I knock three times with a rock on a metal table, and if the Blue Jays are not in the immediate vicinity, they are there within minutes! :o))

Wow! It sounds like they have the routine down pat! :) That's amazing!! I used to whistle every time I filled my bird feeder...the chickadees and titmice would come out of the woodwork! I had to stop during the summer though, because all of the grackles learned my whistle also, and I had every grackle in the county at my bird feeder!!!! :D :D :D It's amazing how smart the birds really are!! How they can identify individuals and different sounds!!

-come to think of it, I saw two magpies on the flat feeder a few days ago, which was a little unusual! Maybe I'm heading down the :D :D :D path that you were down! HA!
