-Wow! Do the Wild Turkeys flock like House Sparrows in your part of the woods? Is there a hunting season for these birds in New Jersey?

Oddly enough, my first Wild Turkey sighting was in Flordia, in a nature reserve. And it had a couple of arrows stuck in it...someone might have been trying to have an early thanksgiving...

Well' the turkeys weren't actually in my back yard. They were right down the road from my place. There is a large area of woods near us, and the turkeys were right at the edge, feeding in a clearing. I've seen them there before, and they are always in groups. We do have a hunting season for them here in New Jersey. I'm not sure when it is though....I think there is actually a couple times a year you can hunt them. They better watch out as the holidays are coming!! :) :) I didn't know they had turkeys in Flordia! It sounds like that turkey had a rough time of it!!! :(
