-In Edmonton, they have begun capturing and moving geese from some man- made lakes to a larger lake, about an hour away from the city? Probably a reaction to complaints about droppings on the adjacent lawns and walkways.

That's too bad...they do make a mess though. :( That would be so tramatic for the birds!

-there was a follow-up article in the newspaper to a complaint about this activity and the author, who was familiar with these relocations, said that because the geese were known for strong family ties, they respond well to this change and return the next year, to the new location.
