-was picking up litter in a small park sitting area on the perimeter of the adjacent school; (we can volunteer for the City Adopt- a- Block program); noticed some movement and mama Mallard was reluctantly sliding off of a full clutch of eggs! She is almost impossible to see, unless you pick out her shape amongst the mulch in the Rose bed! The City trimmed back all the bushes and she is right out in the open! Keeping my fingers crossed for her, as I saw a Red Fox sitting in the middle of the school ground late one evening last week!
