| Notes | Seems my dire forecast respecting the 'flower pot goose' was wrong. When I glanced at the flower pot just before noon, it was empty, I thought. Then I notice a yellow ball of fluff bouncing up and down in the flower pot. Adult geese were calling. I approached and looked over the fence. Two adults were on the ground with 2 youngsters. Then a third youngster dropped over the railing and fell some 14 feet, landing on its back. Two others followed shortly thereafter. All five youngster seem none the worse for the drop. The adults continued to call. Perhaps another one or two youngsters remain in the pot or on the deck. Stay tuned... | |
